Conservation & Water Stewardship inquiry

Below is a response in an email that was sent on February 17, 2016 that gives an answer to if the water at Granite Hills is “potable”.

Hi David,

Thank you very much for providing us the letter sent out by Granite Hills Estates.  Sorry for the late reply.  I was away last week.

Please note that water from the Granite Hills Estates public water system’s distribution does not meet the drinking water quality standards.  A  boil water advisory was issued on February 2012 due to inadequate treatment of the source water and will remain in effect until an appropriate treatment system is in place.  As indicated in the Boil Water Advisory notice issued by the Medical Officer of Health, tap water from the Granite Hills Estates distribution system should only be consumed if it has been boiled for at least one minute.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

Boil Water Advisory-12-02-14Granite BWA Notice 82.50

Notice from GHHOA board

The Board and Officers of the Granite Hills Estates Homeownership Association Inc. would like to remind all members that if any individual member is concerned with the quality or delays in the provision of any services by the Developer, that they should be seeking independent legal advice on the matter(s). The law has limitation periods for taking action and the Board and Officers are not advising the membership in that regard, nor acting to take such legal action on their behalf. The Board and Officers of the Granite Hills Estates Homeownership Association Inc. will continue to co-operate with the Developer as the Developer pursues the fulfillment of the Developer’s commitments.
